The first draft report of the inquiry into the South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) is expected to be finalised by the end of next week, says Vincent Smith, the Chairperson of the Parliamentary Ad Hoc Committee, set up to probe the previous SABC Board.
Two former chairpersons of the SABC board, Ellen Tshabalala and Ben Ngubane, will be the last to testify at the inquiry, which resumes on Friday.
Smith explained Monday that the next step will see the Ad Hoc Committee busy with preparing its report on the proceedings thus far next week.
"We are hoping to have that sorted out by the end of the week of the 20th (January). Then we will send the report to the affected parties for their comment to give them about two weeks to comment, if they want to, on the contents of our report," he added.
"On the second week of February we will then consider their responses, if we receive any responses from them. There will then be a final report that will be submitted to Parliament.
