Palestine will be the guest of honour at the third edition of the Carthage Contemporary Art Days (JACC) under the theme "Art is a Path" to be held from May 26 to 30, 2023.
In anticipation of this event open to Tunisian and foreign artists, a working session was held Tuesday at the headquarters of the Ministry of Cultural Affairs.
The meeting was chaired by Minister of Cultural Affairs, Hayet Ketat Guermazi and attended by the organising committee members headed this year by Samira Turki Torgeman.
Tributes to visual artists, workshops and meetings around the plastic arts are in the line-up.
The full programme of this major artistic event to be held at the City of Culture has not yet been announced.
A selection of works by Tunisian and foreign artists will be on show at this international exhibition, which is open to all forms of artistic expression in the various formats of contemporary art (painting, engraving, photography, sculpture, installation, performance, video...).
The JACC is organised by the Ministry of Culture in partnership with the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art of Tunis (MACAM Tunis).
Created in 2018, this annual event is back after a four-year absence due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The previous edition took place from November 16 to 22, 2019.
